- Who We Are - |
| We
believe that our omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent God is at the heart of our mission
statement. This Deity reaches us from within, as well as from all matter around
us. Our Spirituality Committee desires to reach our followers in the Lutheran Church, and all others, who are searching beyond traditional ways to enhance their Spirituality. We are here to provide - those who seek - with ways and means to develop closer relationships with God. Our hope is that the retreats and other programs we offer will enable those who are seeking to have that closer relationship with God. |

| Books: This page lists publications on spirituality. The books listed were read and recommended by clergy and/or laity members on the Spirituality Committee. Some of the listed books were written by our past or future retreat leaders. All books are recommended based on their inspirational message(s). |
| Ecumenical: This page contains three links. Hungry Hearts - has interesting articles on Spirituality. Sacred Space - is provided by Irish Jesuits and offers ways to pray right at your computer and beyond. Another - Ignatian Partners - is provided by the Maryland Province of Jesuits. |
| ELCA Resources: Please visit this page for other articles addressing Spirituality. If you care to suggest articles for this web page, please let the web master know. |
| Introductory Spirituality Retreats: We facilitate on site retreats at your church, or elsewhere. More information for one of these retreats will be posted here soon. |
| In Our Prayers: Please visit this page. It links to the ELCA Prayer web page: http://www.prayingchurch.org/. At this web site, we can make petitions and use several other services. |
| Retreats: We sponsor 2 - 3 retreats per
year. Information about our next
retreat in November will be posted soon. Listed at the base of this page, and the Retreats page are links to the Eastern and Western North Carolina Lutheran Via de Cristo web sites. Please scroll down either page to access these links to acquire information as to when their Via de Cristo weekends will be held.. |
| SoulQuest: SoulQuest
is a new addition to our web pages. It takes the place of the Discipleship page. At
this point, we are led to feel that if we can tend to matters of the soul, discipleship
will fall into place. When you visit this page, feel free to provide us with feedback as to what matters to you on your Spiritual journey, and how we can help you with this forum. |
| Spiritual Directors: This includes a description of what Spiritual Direction is, and a list of Spiritual Directors. Please feel free to look over the names of the people listed, and contact them using the information they provided. We recently added new Spiritual Directors to this page |
